September Feature of the Month: DC VegFest

The event you’ve been waiting for all year is finally here: DC VegFest takes place on Saturday, September 20! This free festival is open to all – and offers something for everyone.

Get to Yards Park early to receive a FREE commemorative tote bag filled with product samples, coupons, and information. Taste the wide variety of veg-friendly foods from our Exhibitors and Restaurant Vendors – many will have free samples – and stop by the Beer Garden for a cold one. Your four-legged friends are sure to have fun cooling off and meeting other dogs at the Barking Lot.

We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and cooking demonstrations including Afro-Vegan author Bryant Terry, nutrition expert Dr. Neal Barnard, and radio star and author Robin Quivers! Our expanded kids’ area will also have presentations and activities such as yoga, story-time, Ask-A-Vegan Family, and a kid-friendly cooking demo by Sticky Fingers Sweets and Eats owner, Doron Petersan. Be sure to also check out our music tent where you can relax and enjoy live performances in the shade.

Organized by Compassion Over Killing, the DC VegFest continues to grow and improve each year. We hope you’ll join us on September 20 for the largest vegetarian celebration in the nation’s capital!
